The Duchenne Dash AT HOME is a virtual challenge that takes place in the run up to the Duchenne Dash – our annual fundraising bike ride from London to Paris.
Challenge yourself to complete 300kms in any way that you like (the distance from London to Paris) in six weeks for Duchenne UK.
The Duchenne Dash AT HOME started during lockdown when the pandemic made the London to Paris trip impossible. Since then, it’s established itself as a popular way to raise valuable funds and crucial awareness that helps us take important steps towards ending Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Do the Dash AT HOME to:
You don’t have to do it alone. Why not set up a fitness challenge at work and get your colleagues to join you, or ask your local sports club or gym to join you? You could even get sponsorship to run errands for your friends, raising money and kms towards your goal.
Alistair decided to do the Dash AT HOME when his grandson Bruce was diagnosed with DMD.
First, you’ll need to register to do the Dash AT HOME.
Once you’re registered, read the Dash AT HOME fundraisers pack (for anyone taking part) or, if you’re taking part in the main London to Paris Dash with people supporting you through the Dash AT HOME, read the Dasher’s fundraising pack.
You can also use this Sponsorship and Gift Aid form to help you fundraise.
Visit the ‘Duchenne Dash AT HOME 2024’ JustGiving page and hit the orange button to create your own linked fundraising page.
Once you’ve set up your page, don’t forget to download your JustGiving QR code so you can fundraise wherever you go!
Then before, during, and after, let people know about your Dash AT HOME and how they can donate!
Remember to tag us using @DuchenneUK and include our hashtag #DashATHOME.
