Lake District Challenge

Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 June 2023

The Lake District Challenge gives you the opportunity to enjoy England’s finest countryside at your own pace. Starting in Kendal, this wonderful route will take you over some tough hills, including Garburn Pass, into Ambleside and onto the halfway point by the idyllic Lake Windermere. For full challengers, you will journey into forests and nature reserves, all with some stunning views, before finishing back at the basecamp in Kendal.

You can choose to walk, jog or run either a 25km, 50km or 100km distance as an individual or a team. The Lake District Challenge also offers a two day ‘daylight’ 100 km option, with hostel accommodation at Lakeside. This challenge is fully supported, with a range of free food and drink at regular rest stops along the way and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. As you cross the finish line, you will be handed a glass of bubbly, a t-shirt and a medal to mark your achievement.

To take part in the Lake District Challenge, sign up here! Once you are signed up, don’t forget to start fundraising by setting up a JustGiving page. We can provide full fundraising support, along with sending you branded materials to help you with your fundraising.
