Lisa Kuhwald joins Duchenne UK's team as our Advocacy Support Officer
We are very pleased that Lisa Kuhwald will be joining Duchenne UK on a voluntary basis to be our Advocacy Support Officer.
Lisa will represent Duchenne UK at various meetings, and will provide support and advice on advocacy issues within the Duchenne community for Duchenne UK.
Lisa will work closely with the Duchenne UK team as well as the Patient Advisory Board, of which she is already a member, to contribute to the collaborative development of Duchenne UK’s advocacy strategies
Lisa is mum to 4 boys, Oscar, Casper, Felix and Herbie, they live near Manchester. She studied Chemistry at the University of Hull and worked as a teacher and in the pharmaceutical industry. Lisa now runs the family property business in Manchester founded by her husband Karl. They set up Team Felix in 2013, after their son Felix, then 2, was diagnosed with Duchenne.
We would like to thank Lisa for all the support she has already given to Duchenne UK, through sitting on the Patient Advisory Board, her “Team Felix” fundraising and volunteering at various Duchenne UK events. We are really looking forward to working with Lisa further.
