New Horizons is our conference for the Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) community. It's for people personally affected by DMD and those working to help people with DMD.
Driving: There is parking at the venue (see below for more information and costs).
Public Transport:
Closest tube station: Russell Square, then a two-minute walk
Euston station: 10-minute walk
King’s Cross Station: 15-minute walk.
There is a car park at the Holiday Inn London, Bloomsbury.
Another car park can be found at the Royal National Hotel underground car park, which is a four-minute walk from the venue. The address is 38-51 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0DG.
These car parks fill up very quickly, so it is advisable to book in advance.
There is no fee, New Horizons is a free event.
We are offering a travel grant to DMD families in the UK who live outside of the M25.We are offering £150 per family.The £150 travel grant funds will be issued after the event. We will collect your details at the event. You don’t need to send us any receipts.
A Community Dinner and Social will take place on Friday 28th March at 7:30pm. This is included in your registration and all conference delegates are invited to attend this event. For those attending the conference on Saturday 28th March, lunch is included.
Coffee and tea will be served throughout the day at the conference.
Please note: Lunch is NOT provided for New Horizons attendees on Friday 28th March. If you are attending the DMD Care UK meetings on the morning of Friday 28th March AND staying on for New Horizons, you will be provided lunch.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances do occur which might prevent you from attending the conference. We do ask that if your plans change and you can no longer attend, you let us know as quickly as possible. The event is likely to be oversubscribed, and we want to ensure that we offer as many people the opportunity to attend as possible.

Registration will close on 1st March 2025, unless the event becomes fully booked before this date
The event is not designed for children under 12, and the agenda will not include a programme for children. If older children wish to attend (over 12), please register them as normal.
Yes, family members can attend. Due to an overwhelming response to the event, places are limited to two per family.
