    Caring during the coronavirus pandemic

Duchenne UK marked Carers Week (8th-14th of June) by publishing blog written by parents in the DMD community.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

We would like to highlight and thank all the carers in the DMD Community.

The coronavirus pandemic means there has never been a more important time to recognise and support unpaid carers. Millions of people are sacrificing more than ever before to ensure their loved ones stay safe, and providing significantly more care than they were before.

When you're caring for someone, it is really important to ensure that you look after yourself too.

    Here are some useful resources:

    • https://www.carersweek.org/about-us/supporters

We are pleased to share blogs written by parents to demonstrate the current challenges and how they are dealing with them.
