About us
Rhys was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy just after his 2nd birthday in 2015. At first it was difficult to take in this devastating news and it felt like their lives had changed in an instant, we wanted to do something positive in what is an otherwise uncertain future for him, so we decided to set up this fund.
Rhys is an amazing boy who loves building Lego, playing outside with his brother in his power wheelchair and dinosaurs! He is determined and inquisitive and always manages to do things in his own way despite the challenges he faces.
We’re looking forward to organising and being part of many events to raise as much money as possible, hopefully helping to fund research into future treatments and even a cure.
