We’re hiring: Policy and Campaigns Officer
Join us as our new Policy and Campaigns Officer and help shape change for the Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) community
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Policy and Campaigns Officer to join our dynamic team and help us achieve our mission to end the devastating impact of DMD.
Since our founding in 2012, Duchenne UK has raised over £30 million to fund groundbreaking research, accelerate access to treatments, and support every family affected by DMD.
We are now seeking someone who can help us influence policy, shape public opinion, and ensure that the voices of those living with DMD are heard at the highest levels.
This is a pivotal new position within our Policy and Communications team. The successful candidate will develop policy positions and campaigns that drive positive change in healthcare policy and practice. You will work closely with parliamentarians, policy makers, and the DMD community to ensure their needs and priorities are understood and acted upon.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering impactful campaigns and policy positions
- Building and maintaining relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders
- Creating compelling content for digital and social media
- Monitoring government proposals and influencing their development
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience in policy and/or campaigning, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving outcomes for people living with DMD.
Knowledge of the healthcare system and policy-making processes is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively and creatively.
