Opportunity to join Duchenne UK research team

An exciting opportunity has come up to join our team as a Programme Manager and to play a key role in helping Duchenne UK further its work to find effective treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

DMD is a muscle wasting disease and is the most common genetic killer of children worldwide. There are limited treatment options and no cure. In the UK there are around 2,500 boys affected and around 300,000 worldwide. As the UK’s leading DMD medical research charity, We’re funding ground-breaking scientific research to find more effective therapies for DMD and to drive transformative technologies to improve quality of life of people living with DMD.

We’re looking for a Programme Manager with a strong scientific and research management background. Core responsibilities will include managing Duchenne UK’s project portfolio, including our flagship programmes the DMD Hub and DMD Care UK. They will work closely with the Director of Research to engage the DMD patient community, academic and industry partners, and help to identify new opportunities to further our mission.

The Programme Manager will be highly collaborative and work closely with Duchenne UK colleagues in the fundraising, communications and policy teams to ensure engagement on project portfolio activities and effective delivery.
