    How You Can Help

We are a lean, highly effective and ambitious charity. We keep our overheads low, so that every pound you raise matters. Please read about Our Impact, to see what the money you raise for us is doing for research.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FUND PROMISING RESEARCH

There are many things you can do to fundraise and help us in our fight to End Duchenne. Whether you want to join one of our events, or set up your own, we can help. You can view and download our fundraising pack here and email us [email protected] for fundraising help.

Download our Gift Aid Form and Sponsorship Form.

    Donate Directly

DONATE: You can donate directly to us through our website, where you will be invited to make a gift aid declaration during the online donation process.

DUCHENNE DIRECT: Duchenne Direct is a monthly Direct Debit from you to Duchenne UK, that is spent DIRECTLY on research. You can set up a direct debit quickly, easily and safely by clicking  and following the prompts.

GIFT IN YOUR WILL: Leaving a legacy to us will safeguard our essential work. If you feel that you would like to support us in this way, and we realise that it is a big commitment, please contact us here.

Fundraise or Take Part In One of Our Events

We hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including the DUCHENNE DASH and Tri 4 Duchenne. These are absolutely vital ways of raising money for research. Find out more about our events here.

You can set up your own fundraising page through Virgin Money Giving. It’s quick and easy to do, and you can personalise it to help you raise as much money as possible. You can link the page to one of our events. Or use it for your own event.

You can now fundraise for Duchenne UK through Facebook: 100% of your donation will go towards funding and accelerating research to find treatments and a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. You can set up a personal fundraising page to help raise awareness and funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

To set up your fundraiser click the ‘Create fundraiser’ button on the Duchenne UK Facebook page.

Fundraise For A Family & Friends Fund

Our Family & Friends Funds provide vital support to Duchenne UK, by fundraising for us and helping us to advocate to accelerate research. Partner funds are often created by the family and friends of children diagnosed with Duchenne. They share our ambition to fund the most promising research, no matter where it is in the world, and to do so with a vision to help bring that research out of the laboratory and into the clinic where it can help patients.

    Donate while you online shop

You can support Duchenne UK through AmazonSmile. Just visit smile.amazon.co.uk and set Duchenne UK as your chosen charity. Then shop on  AmazonSmile as you would normally on Amazon. 0.5% of any qualifying purchases made will go to Duchenne UK.

You can also support us by shopping online via easyfundraising at one of the 3,300 retailers including John Lewis, Aviva, Sainsbury’s and Booking.com, a donation will be made to Duchenne UK and it won’t cost you an extra penny.

    Corporate & Schools Support

The support we receive from SCHOOLS and BUSINESSES is an invaluable part of our fundraising. There are many ways we can work with schools a businesses and can offer lots in return to firms and schools who want to make us their Charity of the Year! You can help us to end Duchenne by choosing us as your charity of the year.

Duchenne UK was Compass and Foodbuy's Charity of the Year 2017. Managing Director of Foodbuy, Oliver Cock said:

We've worked closely with Duchenne UK this year and being a smaller charity, led by two inspiring founders, it's been much easier to establish a meaningful connection. Our employees feel part of something tangible and important, and have raised more money than they did for more established charities. Their Duchenne events, including the Duchenne Dash, are hugely life-affirming, inspiring, meticulously organised and original.

We are always looking for ways to engage support from businesses and schools. We are lucky to have received support in both financial terms and pro-bono work. We can offer lots in return to firms and schools who want to make us their charity of the year. Please contact us here for more information.

    Donor Advisory Board

Our Donor Advisory Board is composed of committed donors, called Founding Patrons. Founding Patrons support us in our fundraising goals through donations, corporate support, connections and advice. The role of the Donors Advisory Board is to help Duchenne UK secure regular income, which gives us the freedom to commit funds on an ongoing basis to the most promising projects.  With this security, leading scientists and doctors can spend less time chasing funding, and more time in research and drug development. Please contact us here if you would like more information.
